Very little time is left till the Championship end - only two weeks, and the top ten suffered unexpected movements. Within the 11th week the US dollar considerably weakened against the Swiss franc, euro and the Japanese yen. Besides, the currency pair EURGBP made a new record of growth and reached the absolute price maximum - 0,8996. No wonder, the week was favorable for Expert Advisors trading the above mentioned securities.

From the top ten equity chart it is clear that the correlated group of Participants is destroyed and the main task now is to preserve the earned balance. The total equity of the top ten has grown, but to a very little degree - from $1,055,707 to $1,083,637. Thus the growth has made up $27,930. It means the equity has increase by only 2.6%.

The difference of the equity value between the first and the tenth positions of the top ten has increased again and is now equal to $105,751. On the first place we now see the Participant Liliput who has not only the largest balance, but also the largest equity value. Moreover, on the last day of the week his equity was even larger, because the unfixed profit of a Sell position on USDJPY opened on the 11th of December was equal to more than $23,000.

Liliput has made a new record - his equity exceeded the value of $180,000. After the first month of the contest the rate of Participants' balance growing evoked some forecasts that the winner of the Automated Trading Championship would have the balance larger than $200,000. If the Expert Advisor of Liliput had fixed the profit, it would have been left very little till this value!

The second and third places are occupied by abeiks and PrizmaL. They are still near to each other sometimes swapping places in the rating. It seems the main question about these two Participants is the following: who of the two will finish the race on the first and who - on the second places. Both EAs trade EURGBP, and though they have small differences in trading approaches, the growth of the currency pair that continued on the 11th week helped both EAs make money. The positions of these Participants in the rating is still quite firm.

On the contrary, the position of the Participant Gorez who had been leading in the Championship during many weeks was shaken on the last week. We have got accustomed to the idea that his Expert Advisor not only trades very well in a strong downtrend, but is also available to go through flat periods that are very dangerous for trend-trading strategies. Within this week his Expert Advisor executed 12 trades and lost on the average $1,090 in each of them.

The week's loss of his Expert Advisor made up more than $13,000. Now he is $20,000 far from abeiks who is on the third place. We already know that one can not only win, but also lose such a sum within a week. So it is early to make any conclusions.

The Participant Cronex is on the fifth place. Within the previous week his equity increased by $4,500 while his balance increased only by $300. We would like to remind that this Expert Advisor met the previous weekend with an open position with the unfixed loss of more than $4,000. During the week this EA executed 19 trades, which did not change the balance value much, but still gave a positive result. In this case absence of losing positions helped to preserve the position in the rating.

Unfortunately, we cannot say anything definite about this Participant's Expert Advisor. It traded well during the first month of the Championship when there was a very strong downtrend on EURUSD. Being on the peak of his balance and equity, Cronex refused giving an interview. However, after that his balance chart suffered a very substantial fall. During the 11th week the currency pair EURUSD grew, but losses and wins were almost equal.

At the same time the growth of EURUSD had a negative influence on the Participant thezen who hold a losing short position on this currency pair almost 50 days.

The green line indicates the price, at which the short position was opened by thezen on the 27th of October 2008. His unwillingness to fix the loss when it was small resulted in the fact that on the last weekend the unfixed loss was equal to $52,398. This is one more anti-record of the ATC 2008! It can hardly be broken by anyone but thezen.

On the sixth place we see FXPro who first appeared in the top ten only a week ago. The previous week was very favorable for his contest account and he made 4 steps up from the tenth position when he had $61,427. He executed 62 trades during the week and ended it with the balance of $79,857.

We see from the chart that his balance exceeded $90,000 on the last days of the week. But this EA's trading stile presupposes not only profitable series of trades, but also a sequence of losing ones. However, this does not hinder the increase of his account.

The position of fireflies has not changed. As a week ago he is on the 7th place. His account equity has increased by $3,000. The Participant eniksoft is back on the eighth place with the equity equal to $69,095. Entries and exits from the top ten are usual for this Participant. The ninth place is still occupied by amelabs. His EA did not have luck the previous week and the problems on one of the Championship servers did not touch him. Perhaps, this was the last chance for this Expert Advisor to wake up and continue the struggle.

And on the tenth place we see a new Participant - arnautov from Russia. His EA is attached to a minute GBPJPY chart. For more than two months it has executed only 4 Sell trades. That is why the only thing that can be said about this EA is that it has $60,628 on its balance and an open short position with a small current loss.

We are closing the report of the 11th week's results. We have no more than 10 trading days of the Championship left. We can say for sure who will not be among the three winners. However, it is early for voicing the names of prize-winners.
