The eighth week of the Championship is over. It was characterized by the low activity of prices. The first half of the week prices were moving so slowly, that such a behavior can be called only a "dead calm". The market was digesting the results of G20 meeting devoted to steps of overcoming the world financial crisis.

The week of a flat did not give any favorable possibilities to trend-trading strategies and even spoiled the statistics of some Participants. Only strategies filling well in flat managed to substantially improve their balances.

The Total Equity of the top ten by the end of the 8th week is equal to $961,680 which is a little less than a week ago - $980,505. The reduction would be even larger if not for three Participants trading only EURGBP with short targets – PrizmaL, abeiks and strelec.

The total Equity of these three participants is now $372,941 which is equal to 38% of the total top-ten Equity. Probably, these share will keep on growing. A week ago they totally had $326 668 or 33% of $980,505.

The gap between the first and the last places of the top ten has increased and is now equal to $70,311. But this time the first place is occupied by the Participant PrizmaL with $132,233 on his account. Within a week his Expert Advisor executed 106 trades with the total profit of $24,128. As an interesting moment we can consider the fact that as for now this EA has executed 1000 trades. All these trades were executed at night. The average trade result is equal to 1.9 points.

The Participant Gorez has moved to the second place having now $124,454. During this week, his Expert Advisor trading GBPJPY executed 6 trades. Three of them were closed on Wednesday, November 19th, with a small loss. Immediately after that three short positions more were opened. Their unfixed profit at times exceeded $20,000, but the strategy implemented in the EA fixed only a little more than $1000. So, the final result for Gorez was minus $4,220.

The third and fourth places are occupied by abeiks and strelec correspondingly. Like PrizmaL's EA, these Expert Advisors trade only at night and do not show any trading activity in daylight. The difference in active hours of these EAs is not large, targets are the same being equal to not more than 5 points on EURGBP.

A Participant from Spain pacohernandezg is on the fifth place. We saw him first a week ago. During this week this EA executed 7 trades with a small total loss.

On the sixth place we see a Participant Liliput from Bulgaria. Having an open position since the 12th of November, his EA opened two more positions (on the 17th and 18th of November). Now he has three open short positions on USDJPY with the total volume of 15 lots. The unfixed profit on them exceeds $10,000 by the end of the 8th week.

As clear from the chart USDJPY H4, on Friday the unfixed profit of these positions was much larger. At the present moment the price is between the StopLoss and TakeProfit levels. Perhaps, the coming week will show the results of these positions.

The Participant Cronex is back on the 7th place of our rating. On the fifth week he was listed among the top three Participants, but then left not only the top ten, but even the first page of the Championship. And now this Participant having $75,800 is back with us again.

On weekend his EA had two open positions on EURUSD with the total volume of 7.5 lots. At the present moment they have the unfixed profit equal to $2,474 and a good perspective of growing.

The eighth week introduced one more Participant in the top ten. This is fireflies from Indonesia. We are welcoming him! As for now, he has executed 34 trades and parameters characterizing his trading are in a good range.

Though, the statistics is spoiled by the relative drawdown (almost 69%) and the maximal drawdown of $26,100. But such drawdowns do not amaze in the Championship. The main thing is that these drawdowns should not become fatal for an account letting the Participant reach the finish.

The coming ninth week will close the second month of the Championship. Probably, it will bring new trends in the Forex markets thus terminating the long price consolidation of the most trading pairs which is really becoming quite boring. We will continue following the Championship events.
