The seventh week did not make many updates in the top ten, though many Participants changed their positions. First of all, it should be mentioned that two old-timers left the top ten - amelabs and maximich. Having unchangeable balances, these Participants played a role of a reference point during several weeks. And now they are on the 11th and 12th places correspondingly. Probably, we will see them again, because the lower top ten border is very near to them.

This week would be unremarkable, if not for the record minimum shown by the pound sterling. After two weeks of a relative quiet, GBPUSD broke the support level and reached the value of 1.4557.

Such a fall of the pound surely influenced other pairs, so EURGBP demonstrated a new absolute maximum for the latter 10 years. The week chart of the pair has a record range of 818 points. And this is the pair that was always considered the least volatile!

Besides, GBPJPY could not stay aside at such a pound weakening and tested a recent minimum set three weeks ago. The support level resisted, but it is hard to say how strong it will be.

Other currency pairs that are most popular among the Championship Participants were traded mostly in the range of previous weeks, that is why the three pairs discussed above were the main reason for movements within the top ten.

The Participant Gorez still preserves the leading position already for the fourth week. The first time he became the best by the results of the fourth week and still holds it. Having closed three short positions with profit on Thursday, he increased his balance by $24,068 and this is almost 23% more as compared to the previous week.

Liliput, on the contrary, lost almost $19,000 and moved from the second place to the eighth. During this week his Expert Advisor closed three loss-making trades on USDJPY. On weekend he had an open sell position of 5 lots with the unfixed profit of almost $2,500.

The Participant artall who was on the third place a week ago is now on the seventh place with the sum of $91,335 on his account. His losses made up $7,250 total resulting from 7 trades executed on EURUSD. Four of them were sell trades that made profit, three others were buys with a negative result.

Thus only Gorez retained his position in the top three. And the second and third places are occupied by Participants that first showed themselves only a week ago. These are strelec and PrizmaL trading EURGBP that has unexpectedly become so profitable.

The third Participant from this group that is trying to eat small bites of EURGBP abeiks also managed to increase his balance from $76,750 to $104,924. Generally, this group of three fixed the total profit of $106,129 during the seventh week.

Taking into account that the total Equity of the top ten increased from $789,368 to $980,505 during this week, it is clear that more than half of this is obtained by these three Participants. The difference between the first and the last places in the top ten has increased again and is now more than $ 62,000.

The only Participant that traded neither GBPJPY nor EURGBP, but managed to enter this group is LeoV. This is his second appearance in the top ten - two weeks ago he was on the 7th place with $ 65,409. Now he managed to reach the fourth place with the Equity equal to $106,024.

It should be noted that his Expert Advisor based on neural network and two traded currency pairs (EURUSD and GBPUSD) was struggling for the first place with Gorez the whole week. During the previous week he executed 20 trades with the total profit $25,000.

But the part of LeoV's profit is also the result of GBPUSD fall. 4 trades on this pair made more than $24,000, and as you could have guessed, profit was obtained from sell trades. By the result of the 7th week LeoV is on the seventh place with the unfixed profit of unclosed positions equal to $10,534.

Those watching the seventh week of the Championship must have noticed the impetuous appearance on first places of the Participant pacohernandezg from Spain. And again his rise was due to the fall of GBPUSD. His EA trades this pair; and after closing 4 short positions he got more than $52,000 of profit.

At the present moment his account balance is equal to $98,763, but at some moments his Equity exceeded $117,500. In such moments he was on the second place. All his positions were accompanied by Trailing Stop, though there were no TakeProfit levels. That is why the fixed profit was a little lower than maximal.

Out of 55 trades executed by the EA only two were buy trades. This Expert Advisor is the one following trend. As for now, GBPUSD is in the strong downtrend and pacohernandezg is on the 6th place.

It is pleasant to see comeback of nickbilak to the top ten. This is his third appearance in the top ten. By the result of the fourth week he was on the 10th place with $48,474, after the 5th week he was on the 6th place with $67,720 on his balance. And again he is on the 10th place with almost the same equity as two weeks ago - now it is equal to $66,352.

It should be noted that his EA trades EURUSD and during the previous week executed 24 trades that made more than $9,500. Its balance chart resembles the behavior of this currency pair. After a rise the period of consolidation comes; during it the balance changes in a certain range. It is interesting whether this behavior will be observed further.

The half of the competition is behind us and we can detect the opposition of trading strategies. On the one hand the top ten contains strategies trading by trend and trading not so often. On the other hand, another group of Participants appeared trading in short distances and not trying to obtain large targets in points.

What will happen, when GBPJPY starts rising (it is traded by Gorez), when EURGBP exhausts all possibilities for growth? Besides, GBP (traded by pacohernandezg) cannot be constantly falling.

The following eighth week can become a determinant: either trends will continue, or a pivot can occur. However, in any case the sharp change of the top ten can hardly happen.
