The fifth week of the Championship is over. It released a little tension of forex markets - almost all currency pairs went through a temporary correction of trends that has been dominating in the market since the Championship start.

Despite the 50% correction on most currency pairs, the majority of Participants not only avoided losses, but managed to increase their trading accounts. The top ten has not undergone sufficient changes: andee and pacohernandezg that left the first page were substituted by LeoV from Russia and abeiks from Latvia

Though, the gap of Equity between the leader and the tenth place has diminished and is now equal to $60,800 ($120,160 – $59,356). A week ago this difference was equal to $112,191 – $48,474 = $63,717. The total equity of the top ten is now $803,179 which is by 15% larger than the previous-week result.

The first position is still occupied by Gorez. On Tuesday he closed with profit three positions that had been opened at the end of the fourth week. Thus his balance reached the value of $120,160. He is the best both according to this parameter and Equity. Though, on Friday he opened three more positions that are losing at the moment.

The Participant artall that was the second best last week is now on the fourth place - he lost $4,550, which is not so essential against the background of such a strong correction. We remind that this Expert Advisor trades EURUSD.

At the end of the fourth week Liliput with the balance of $77,180 was on the third place. During the fifth week he increased his balance almost by 52% and now it is equal to $117,276. This happened due to the three buy positions opened sequentially, two of which were closed with a large profit. This is how he shows to us that his EA is designed not only for selling, but can use pivots for buying to the benefit.

His Expert Advisor has executed only 10 trades. But this fact hindering a sound analysis of his EA's trading system can be very favorable for this Participant. Low trading activity sometimes saves a trading account from large losses.

What can be stated for sure at the moment is that this Expert Advisor uses strict StopLoss and TakeProfit values. This is clearly seen on MAE and MFE distribution charts.

If an Expert Advisor uses orders with StopLoss strictly set in points from the open price, part of these orders will be closed with loss. In this case trades closed by StopLoss will be on one straight line on the MAE chart, as seen in the figure (the line is shown in the gray color). The same can be said about TakeProfit - trades closed by TakeProfit appear on one straight line of the MFE chart. In his interview Liliput confirmed the use of strictly set stop levels.

As of the 1st of November, the third place is occupied by Cronex from Russia. A week ago he was on the fifth place with Equity equal to $70,966. His account balance was $77,770, but on weekend he had two open short positions on EURUSD, loss of which was $6,804. On Monday these positions were closed with profit.

By the end of the fifth week his account balance is equal to $103,328, and there is an open 5-lot sell position with a small profit. By the present moment this Expert Advisor has executed 89 trades, which is neither few nor too many.

All values characterizing the trading of Cronex's EA are in a very good range. So, if this Participant preserves the current profit obtaining dynamics, he has all the chances to become a prize-winner. His maximal drawdown is $26,300 and relative drawdown is 36%, which is a very good value taking into account the volume of positions opened.

Only one Participant listed in the current top ten has executed no loss-making trades - thezen from Malaysia. But the lossless series of trades cannot last forever. What will be the price charged for the straight upward Balance chart?

It looks like the strong trend taking place since the Championship start will soon be substituted by the period of correction and lateral movement. We will see how Expert Advisors can trade in new conditions when the number of false entering signals will grow sufficiently for system trading by trend. Besides, Participants that are close to the leading group can still show themselves in a new light and move up the rating list. A new week and the second month of the Championship are before us.
