Registration for participation in the Automated Trading Championship 2008 is in full swing now. For the first 10 days of Registration 616 people have applied for participation. 44 of them have fully completed registration – they have filled in their personal details and submitted an Expert Advisor. For reference, for the first 10 days of the previous-year Championship 370 people submitted application for participation, 45 Participants completed registration within this period.

We can already draw some conclusions from first obtained data. The total number of persons willing to participate in the Championship has grown. However, the number of Participants that fully completed registration stays the same. Perhaps it is connected with more stringent Rules of the Championship - this year Participants pay more attention to the development of their own Expert Advisors.

Apparently, this year the number of those wishing to try their mastery of developing Expert Advisors will grow even more. By comparison, the total number of applications submitted for participation in the ATC 2007 was equal to 2011. This is almost three times as much as in 2006. We are convinced that this positive trend is going to continue and the contest of 2008 will break the last year's record of the number of Expert Advisors developers wishing to take part in the Championship.

So, there are 70 days left till the end of Registration for participation in the Automated Trading Championship 2008. This period is quite enough to write one’s own Expert Advisor. Perhaps it is your program that can challenge established notions of automated trading and it is you, who is to become the Best Developer of Expert Advisors 2008 and winner of the First Prize!
