Automated Trading Championship 2008

MetaQuotes Software Corp., FXCM, Intebank FX LLC, FXDD and TRADERS’ journal organized and conducted the third annual Automated Trading Championship 2008. The best three developers of automated trading systems were spotted within three months. Estimation criterion was the absolute profit. The winners shared the Automated Trading Championship 2008 Prize of totally 80 000 US dollars!

The Championship started on the 1st of October and lasted till the 26st of December 2008. The main goal of its conduct was the popularization of the automated trading and the programming language MetaQuotes Language 4 (MQL4). Like a year ago, during that competition hundreds of Expert Advisors will strove with each other. You could see, how different trading systems behaved in real market conditions, which of those trading strategies and tactics were efficient, which were not.

All through the Championship this site presented the detailed information about trade operations of each Participant. In the News section you can find articles, reports and interviews with EA developers. All this material can help you to understand, which features and characteristics are peculiar to successful Expert Advisors.
Automated Trading Championship 2009 Will Not Be Conducted
We decided not to conduct the Automated Trading Championship in 2009. Instead of this we will concentrate our efforts on the release of the new MetaTrader 5 platform and next year we will conduct the Championship for Expert Advisors written in MQL5.
