Reporting the 11th Week of the Championship (10-16 December)

The 11th, the last week but one of the Automated Trading Championship 2007. Only five trading days are left till the finishing line. We wonder who will finish in the Top Three and share the prize of the contest. So far, let's summarize the last week but one.

The eternal leader of the past several weeks, Olexandr Topchylo (Better) from Ukraine, has saved the situation again. His Expert Advisor, Kub, increased its equity by 11.5 thousand, so it is 125.6 thousand dollars now. Due to Olexandr's success, many traders started to think of the possibility to use neural networks in trading. Our congratulations for Olexandr to his great results. We wish you further success in automated trading!

The second place is held, like a week ago, by the Participant from Indonesia, admadinata. His balance has not changed within this week. The Expert Advisor's equity is, like one week before, 49 thousand dollars. The Expert Advisor does not often open positions. It seems not to open any more positions till the end of the contest. Recall that this EA has not made any losing trade at all. This trading method seems to be really effective: Open trades rarely but successfully. Our congratulations for admadinata to his second place!

The third place has been clearly fixed by no one of Participants. We will know who takes the third prize only at the end of the 12th week. The 11th week is finished by well-known William Boatright (wackena) from the USA on this place. William has never finished a week on a prize place before. Hopefully, the last week will not become fatal for his Expert Advisor. The equity of this Participant has increased by 7.6 thousand dollars by the end of the last week but one and made 43 thousand dollars. So his EA is just 6 thousand dollars behind the Participant nicked admadinata. It is very possible that this Expert Advisor will manage to earn so much and even take the second place. So far, out congratulations for William to his third place!

The total equity of the Top Ten made 386 thousand dollars this week. This is 63 thousand more than the previous week. There are no Expert Advisors in the Top Ten that have equity under 30 thousand dollars. Well, one week - five trading days - final straight. May the best win!
