Reporting the 10th Week of the Championship (3-9 December)

Ten weeks of the Championship are already behind us. Only two weeks are left until it ends. Then we will know, which Participants take the prizes of the Automated Trading Championship 2007. So far, let's summarize this week.

So, the leader of the last three weeks, Olexandr Topchylo (Better), is standing his ground so far. He is still on the first place. Olexandr's EA made us glad again with increasing its equity this week. This time, it did not increase so much as during preceding weeks. The equity has grown by 8.6 thousand dollars and makes 114 thousand now. Again, our congratulations for you, Olexandr!

The second place seemed to be firmly occupied by Participant zyx40. However, unfortunately, he finished on the fourth place this week. Well, there are two more weeks before him, so he can manage to win this prizing place back.

But this week, the second place is taken by a Participant from Indonesia nicked as admadinata. The Expert Advisor of this Participant has made only 7 trades. The last three ones resulted in a profit of nearly 23 thousand dollars. The equity made 49 thousand, which allowed the Participant to take the second place. By the way, all seven trades made by his EA are profitable, so it seems to be impossible to calculate its Profit Factor. All trades were made at the beginning of each month. This EA seems not to open any more positions if its algorithm is adjusted for opening trades only at the beginning of a month. So, our congratulations for admadinata to his second place!

The third place has been taken by Participant maxfade from Ukraine for two weeks already. The EA of this Participant has worked out nearly 10 thousand dollars within the tenth weeks of the Championship. His equity makes 39 thousand dollars now. It's a good result. Our congratulations and best wishes!

The Top Ten's total equity has changed, too. It has increased by 41 thousand and made 323 thousand dollars this week.

Well, just a little time is left until the Automated Trading Championship 2007 ends. Obviously, the first prize will be taken by Better. The struggle for the second and the third prize goes on. Keep up with the results.

Interview with William Boatright (wackena) The EA works virtually the same on any chart timeframe as utilized timeframes are hard coded in the EA. I find this makes the EA more reliable.	Interview with Maxim Kondratyuk (maxfade) The EA tries to catch a “trend” of 100 points. This is why it does not “see” the global trend. And another thing, it hates it when a pair grows without strong rollbacks.
