Jury Session Record of the 30th of November 2007

The issue of disqualification of some Participants was discussed at the Jury session.

Organizers had to stop some more Expert Advisors during the last three weeks. The major contributing cause was the mass output of messages of Error 134 (Not enough money), and impossibility to open positions due to coding errors.

The EA of Participant 500048 displays message We have no money at every tick. It does not even try to change the volume of positions it's going to open. The same message is displayed by the EA of Participant 500456 at every tick. And its deposit has already been exhausted. Obviously, this EA will not be able to open any positions anymore.

Two Expert Advisors were stopped for they received mass messages of Invalid lots amount for OrderSend function (Participants 500020 and 500088). Most probably, both Expert Advisors will not be able to open any positions.

As usual, the most EAs were stopped because of mass messages of Error 134 (Not enough money).

Thus, Expert Advisors of Participants 500037 and 500492, while receiving dozens of these messages, do not try to change the amount of lots. The EA of Participant 500479 cannot define a correct volume for its positions. It could easily go on trading if if had set the volume of less than 1.80 lots. For the same reason the EAs of Participants 500208, 500471, 500486, and 500528.

All the above Expert Advisors violate Clause III.6 of the Rules:

Experts can contain limitations to be used outside the Championship, but they must:

  • never contain any critical bugs (like looping or hanging up, etc.) or explicitly harmful actions in the code
  • be economical with the use of resources on the processor and PC memory
It was decided to call a new session of the Jury. The Jury Members voted about disqualification of the above Participants.

Reporting the 8th Week of the Championship (19-25 November)

Two thirds of the Championship have already passed. The first places are taken by familiar Participants, however, surprises run on.
Reporting the 9th Week of the Championship (26 November-2 December)

9 weeks have passed since the beginning of the contest. The unconditional leaders seem to have already dug in their places, but the fight goes on, so very different Participants may win.
