Reporting the Championship: Second Week (8 -14 October)The second week of the Automated Trading Championship
2007 is over. Several interesting events took place within the past 5 trading days. Participant Axelforex
from Kyrgyzstan was up the Top with one rush. He was not even in the Top 10 last week, but today, his Expert Advisor marches confidently towards the mark of 30 000 dollars leaving its competitors far behind. Last year, such results were achieved only by the Winner of the Automated Trading Championship 2006 (Rich) at the end of the contest. The second place is taken by Participant Fess
with his Expert Advisor named NUAR. This EA has increased its balance from 17 to 26
thousand dollars within one week. Well, not bad, though does not begin to compare to the leader of the Championship. It must be noted that this Expert Advisor has not had any losing trades yet. We will try to contact the developer and learn a bit more about the Expert Advisor. As for now, we wish Fess a favorable trend
and go to the third place. This latter one is taken by the Participant nicked as void11.
His Expert Advisor opened its positions on the 1st of October and it has not closed them yet. There are no StopLoss or TakeProfit orders. This Expert Advisor surely has its own position closing mechanisms. However, this can result from errors in the code. We can only wait and see. At the time being, the Participant's balance increases. Our compliments on this. 21 thousand dollars and the third place - within 10 trading days. Excellent!
The total profit of the Top 10 Expert Advisors of this week made 111
thousand dollars. This is 30 thousand more than the last week's result. The Top Ten's profit increment rate slows down. Risky Expert Advisors gradually give place to more moderate ones developed for being used over a longer period. It's interesting what we will see at the end of this contest.
