The first week of the Automated Trading Championship 2007 is over. Like last year, the leading Expert Advisor has practically doubled its deposit. It is a scalping Expert Advisor submitted by Participant nicked as winwin2007 from Germany.

The Expert Advisors’ TOP 10 changed all the time within this first week. Representatives of different countries were on the top places at different times. However, the second place was taken by Fighter from Russia as of the end of the week. His Expert Advisor of the same name made 6 profitable trades within the week and is just about US$400 behind the leader.

The third place was taken by Participant nicked as lf8749 from China. His Expert Advisor zuizhong made only 2 trades,the total profit being a bit smaller than that of Fighter. Thus, lf8749 is in the third line with the balance of US$18 700.

All these Expert Advisors are based on different analytical tools, but they both have shown good results. Almost 90% of the deposit within 5 trading days is really great. All trades of these Expert Advisors turned to be profitable. However, the Championship has just begun, and we have 11 weeks before us. We’ll see whether these Expert Advisors can make further trades as profitable as they are now.

The total profit of the Top Three for the first week made about US$81 000. This is one third more than the total profit of the Top 10 in the first week of the last-year Championship. Many of those who had been the first-week leaders in 2006, became losing later on and had lost their top positions by the end of the contest. Let’s hope that this year everything will be different!
