Report: Jury Meeting on 19th October 2006

The Meeting Agenda included the following issues:
  1. The Expert Advisor of Participant 400239 contains the error that results in looping during the program work and causes overconsumption of the processor time (50%). The Participant must be disqualified according to Clause III.6 of the Championship Rules:

    Experts can contain limitations to be used outside the Championship, but they must:

    • never contain any critical bugs (like looping or hanging up, etc.) or explicitly harmful actions in the expert code;
    • be economical with the use of resources on the processor and pc memory.

  2. At 3.28 a.m. on the 19th of October, a spike happened on the GBPUSD chart. This resulted in triggering of stop orders of some Expert Advisors, and positions were closed. The decision was made not to restore the closed positions of Participants for two reasons:
    • Restoring of a position will disturb the integrity of the Championship flow and put some Participants into unequal conditions;
    • The canceling of the trades already made will result in canceling of all future trades, which will disturb the integrity of the Championship flow even more seriously.
    For the same reasons, it was decided not to restore any positions in future if similar situations take place.

The second week of the Automated Trading Championship 2006 has ended. The top three experts are replaced by others.
Championship Report: Third Week (16 – 23 October)

The results of the third competition week have been summarized. Sashken returns to the Top Three, two debutants show their impressive results. On Thursday, the regular meeting of the Championship Jury took place. The Top Ten Expert Advisors are named in the report, ad well. They increased their total assets by 13 thousand dollars.
