Interview with Chayutra Sriboonruang (vixenme)

Chayutra became a trader since she wanted to work for herself. Having worked on financial markets for a year, she believes to be a very cautious trader.

What principle does underlie your expert? Why does your expert work on daily charts, but opens many positions?
Shame on me… It's the modification of Grail_1 posted on your site plus a fix scale of mine and combined together with the multilot-scalper. But it trades by pending, in case of disconnection by any reasons. The reason why I attached my Expert on D1 is that sometimes in M1 the price moves, but its Doji when look at the D1 and because of the back tests on this period always give the better result on every pair.

Are you afraid that some of your open positions are losing? And the losses are rather significant?
No, I'm not afraid of those lost positions much because I chose USDJPY that always swing up-down. Even if it intends to go up, it will come down a bit, anyway. Then I believe that I still can get the profit. Also by the concept of multilot-scalper this can ensure that the winning possibility is bigger... in my opinion.

When will your Expert Advisor close a losing position?
Ive placed the StopLoss of 38 pips away, this is my acceptable level on this pair...My Expert will not close the losing position - I'll let it take the StopLoss level itself and open the next position when a new signal comes.

Do you have any Money Management system in your Expert?
Yes, I have, it calculates basing on the account-free margin at the time with the maximum risk of 5% and will increase/decrease with the free margin at that moment.

What do you think of the Sashken's Expert Advisor? Do you consider it to be a strong rival for yours? Why?
Hmm…To me, he has a good entry signal. But due to no StopLoss this can make his money go bankrupt if the signal was wrong or when the sudden opposite move comes and eats out all his money. Anyway I won't say it's bad, because it's making good results. Hopefully his signal will always be right! Good luck...

Who of your rivals do you consider to be the most dangerous?
No idea. Maybe Sashken, we are both running on good luck. Not like the others that come across with certain logic. To me, this is a competition, so the key is the amount of money, not the modeling quality. That's why I chose this Expert to due with this competition.

Do you think that you can outrun Sashken?
In fact no, but I hope so!

Can you make a forecast for the next week, which will be at the Top Three?
I think it may be Sashken, then Hendrick - his Expert is quite good, and Fibofx - as he is the winner of the first day!

The Championship Report: First Week Results (2 – 9 October)

So, the first of twelve Championship weeks has gone. It has brought a couple of surprises.

Interview with Harry Brinkhuis

To my findings a Take Profit of 42 and a Stop Loss of 84 is the right combination for Phoenix. They are part of what I call the balance between settings, timeframe, Stop Loss and Take Profit. Other people that were testing Phoenix tried to change Take Profit and Stop Loss and got very different results. They somehow changed "The Balance"!
