Automated Trading Championship 2006 Is Over!

The 12th and the last week of the first annual Automated Trading Championship 2006 is over. There will be neither moves in the Top Three nor changes in the total equity of the Top Ten. It's time to name the Winners and to present the prizes!

First Winner of the Automated Trading Championship 2006

The First Place in the Automated Trading Championship 2006 is taken by Roman Zamozhnyy (Rich), a Participant from Ukraine. His Expert Advisor is rather risky and allows large drawdowns, but it has been the most profitable by the 23rd of December. Roman himself believes this Expert Advisor cannot be used for real trading. However, some offers to buy his EA have already come.

The Expert Advisor is characterized by moderate risk level (below 20%) and by adequate stability (stability factor is 3). Just a little more than a half of its trades are profitable. Average profit per trade makes 500 dollars. EA profit factor is 2.48.

Roman has been permanent leader of the Championship for the last two weeks. His result by the end of the Championship is over 35 thousand of profit. Roman Zamozhniy will get the gift "First Winner of the Automated Trading Championship 2006" and 40 000 dollars from Spacevision Switzerland SA. Excellent, Roman!

Second Winner of the Automated Trading Championship 2006

The Second Place is taken by Luis Guillermo Damiani (ldamiani) from Brazil. His Expert Advisor named GUMASA is really interesting. It is based on recognition of patterns and acts differently in different situations. This EA was always in the Top Ten of the Championship and often got to the Top Three, as well. However, Luis was a bit unlucky during the last two weeks, and he took only third place.

Risk level of this EA does not exceed 30%, but its stability factor is not as high as those of other Winners. It ranges about 1. More than a half of all trades are profitable, average profit per trade is 400 dollars.

Luis will get the gift "Second Winner of the Automated Trading Championship 2006" and 25 thousand dollars from FXDD. "FXDD is proud to have been a gold sponsor for the 1st Automated Trading Championship 2006. We would like to thank all those who have participated and extend our congratulations to the winners!" Shawn Dilkes, CTO of FXDD, said.

Third Winner of the Automated Trading Championship 2006

As a consequence of heavy battles fought with varied success, the Third Place was taken by Nikolay Kositsin (GODZILLA) from Russia. His Expert Advisor, unlike those of the most other Participants, is a multicurrency trading system. Stability of this EA ranges about 1.2, its risk level is 40%. Only 35% of its trades turned to be profitable, but it gains 200 dollars per trade in average.

Nikolay Kositsin will get the gift “Third Winner of the Automated Trading Championship 2006” and 15 000 dollars from Interbank FX LLC. Our congratulations, Nikolay!

The first annual Automated Trading Championship 2006 is over. We would like to thank and extend our congratulations to all Winners, Participants and Sponsors of the competition once again.

We remind that Winners must send their personal details according to Clause 8 of the Championship Rules. Non-observance of this Rule will result in disqualification of the Winner concerned and followed by revising of the Winners List.
