Championship Report: Eleventh Week (10-17 December)The eleventh, the last but one week of the Automated Trading Championship 2006 is over. There are only 5 trading days left to the end of the Championship. The first place is being tightly held by Rich. Tough struggle for the second and the third place is being carried on. The developer from Ukraine, Rich, takes the first place like he did a week ago. He has not made any profitable trades within this week. However, his trades have not caused significant losses, so he has managed to retain his leadership. His nearest pursuers are behind him by ten thousand. Rich`has 42 thousand and the first place - excellent result! Valvk (Valeri Karpenko) from Russia who took the fifth place last week has moved to the second place. We remind that the last week was unlucky for Valeri: he lost about 8 thousand. But this week, having made a couple of profitable trades, his Expert WCR_N1 has gained about 11 thousand. This allowed the Participants' equity to exceed 32 thousand. The second place and our congratulations to Valeri! Harry Brinkhuis (Hendrick) from the Netherlands has met with losses this week. He has lost about five thousand, but his competitors have been even less lucky: they have lost much more money. As a result, Harry has managed to run away from the competitors and take the third place with over 22 thousand. Well done, Harry! Luis Damiani (ldamiani) from Brazil with his Expert GUMASA has met with significant losses within the last five days. He was the second last week and had about 27 thousand on his deposit. But he has been less lucky this week: He has made some losing trades and reduced his equity to 21 thousand. We hope GUMASA will join in the struggle for prize places again for the resting days. A rather interesting Expert Advisor has got into the Top Ten of the Championship again this week. It is bvpbvp from Ukraine. His position opened more than one month ago was closed on the 14th of December with the profit of more than 500 points. This position gained over 26 thousand for the developer. He could take one of the prize places but for a counterposition with an 18-thousand loss. The Top Ten of the last but one week of the Championship:
The total equity of the Top Ten Expert Advisors goes on falling. It has made only 124 thousand this week. It is 14 thousand less than the previous week. Such total equity reduction relates to that the most Top Ten Participants have met with losses this week. Those Expert Advisors that are able to keep their equities (not to increase their profits) will apparently remain in the Top Ten. Created: 2006.12.18 Author: MetaQuotes Software Corp.
